Private Music Lessons

Private music lessons are offered during school hours. Mrs. Forgie has found great success teaching when students are at their prime rather than at the end of their day. She works with their home room teachers to choose a time that best suits the student.

As a TOS student, they will have the opportunity to perform at The Oxford School's weekly Friday Tea. It is such a huge bonus to have a warm and welcoming audience each week. Students are offered the opportunity to take exams with the Royal Conservatory of Music. Students are also entered into the Woodstock Rotary Music Festival, Stratford Kiwanis and/or Brant County Music Festival, based on their level and commitment.

At the first lesson, the student and Mrs. Forgie will discuss the students personal goals for the year and brainstorm ideas to reach them. To achieve the most from private lessons, teamwork between student, teacher and parent is a must. At each lesson, an assignment will be given with the expectation of daily practice at home during the week.

For more information regarding fees or other questions please contact Mrs. Forgie at 226-228-3492 or via email at music@theoxfordschool.ca

Any instrument lost or broken by a student will require replacement or repair at the expense of the student.
